I’ve mentioned this before on the old website, but I feel the need to share this . . . this brilliant, mad, wonderful creation. A fan-made Doctor Who Anime. This is part 4 of what promises to be an amazing tribute to mid-80s Anime and Doctor Who. It features the Third Doctor (Jon Pertwee), who with his penchant for kicking the crap out of people, is a perfect fit into the Anime world of the mid to late 80s.
And the thing with the Masters, Good Time Lord, that’s ingenious.
While having a discussion on the possible merits of assuming a Japanese Nom de Plume (just a exchange started by a off handed comment) the Undergrad Student Worker in my Department, Jonathan Clark came up with this quick sketch. He also re-named me pseudo-Japanese-ishly. The general idea of the conversation was Interweb popularity might ensue if people thought the comic artist was from Japan, land of Manga. In reality such a thing might work of some time, but the unavoidable unmasking and ensuing controversy make the idea very unsavory.
Yes, I do have a large coat like that, but I don’t have large scale brushes or a 5 foot wide wacom pen. That kinda makes me sad.
Well, hey it looks like I’ve got a blog by default now. Therefore, not only will I post Indavo related items, such as that I’m working on the Universe and Cast pages, I will occasionally post something about a very geeky topic, such as ST:TNG’s “Yesterday’s Enterprise” (Coming Soon!)
On another note I will be appearing at the Cape Girardeau Comic Con on May 1 & 2, Saturday is also Free Comic Book Day. I probably will not be giving away free stuff, but one never knows. I hope to have Indavo Volume 5 and possibly Volume 6 ready for it, I will definitely have an Indavo sampler comic on sale for around $2.00.
This is now, officially open as the home of Indavo. This site will no means be 100% complete, once the archives are up-to-date, I’ll be adding other features and links as time goes on. If you should see something out of whack, do please point it out!
Returning readers should really check out the very first pages in the Archive, as they now contain an Intro that was not online previously!
If you submitted fanart or a guest strip have no fear they will soon appear on their very own page.
Enjoy, thanks for reading.
If you’ve found this site, congratulations! It’s not quite done yet, but as you can see I’ve begun moving the archive over, I hope to have this process completed soon. Check this space for further updates!
