And now my first in-depth con report.
I had a good time at the Cape Comic Con, this was my third year of attending. This was the first Con that I used my new banner.
And check out the Indavo wares on sale!
I did pretty well, met a lot of people, bought a few hard to find items. Alas the Con was bereft of any Doctor Who figures! Curses!

He’s an all around great guy and you should really check out his comic!
The fine people of Anime Midstream where there as well, but are in the process of dubbing the second volume of Raijin-oh! They use voice artist from the St. Louis area, as well as a few pros. It’s very well dubbed and a deliciously mad series. (Yes, I know some people like subs better, they do that as well, but I hate reading movies!)
I also ran into Wade Moore, an old acquaintance of mine, who now customizes action figures and shop dummies into Super heroes like Deadpool here. He and his awesome artist & brother, Brad Moore have a website here!
A lot of people thought, at first glance that Deadpool has a cosplayer. It was a little freaky, but awesome at the same time!

I’ve mentioned this before on the old website, but I feel the need to share this . . . this brilliant, mad, wonderful creation. A fan-made Doctor Who Anime. This is part 4 of what promises to be an amazing tribute to mid-80s Anime and Doctor Who. It features the Third Doctor (Jon Pertwee), who with his penchant for kicking the crap out of people, is a perfect fit into the Anime world of the mid to late 80s.
And the thing with the Masters, Good Time Lord, that’s ingenious.
While having a discussion on the possible merits of assuming a Japanese Nom de Plume (just a exchange started by a off handed comment) the Undergrad Student Worker in my Department, Jonathan Clark came up with this quick sketch. He also re-named me pseudo-Japanese-ishly. The general idea of the conversation was Interweb popularity might ensue if people thought the comic artist was from Japan, land of Manga. In reality such a thing might work of some time, but the unavoidable unmasking and ensuing controversy make the idea very unsavory.
Yes, I do have a large coat like that, but I don’t have large scale brushes or a 5 foot wide wacom pen. That kinda makes me sad.
